Everyone in hockey has a responsibility to safeguard and protect young people.

Here at Stockport Bramhall Hockey Club all team members are encouraged to work to high standards in line with SBHC policies and recognised best practices.

We follow ‘SafeD’ England Hockey’s Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey Policy. This policy shows commitment to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all young people involved in hockey.

SafeD – Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey

In line with the England Hockey Safeguarding Policies Stockport Bramhall Hockey Club has a club Welfare Officer.

The key role of the Welfare Officer is to support the club to promote good safeguarding practice, to be the named point of contact for all members of the Hockey Family, to implement England Hockey’s Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey Policy & Procedures where a concern has been raised.

SBHC’s Welfare Officer is Joshanna Ford (joshannaford@googlemail.com). Please feel free to contact her with any concerns or questions regarding welfare and safeguarding within the club.
